| On account of
globalization the storage and transportation abilities of food
are getting more and more importance. The extension of
durability as well as the obtaining of taste, colour and
freshness is achieved through packaging under modified
atmosphere. To reduce the oxygen, a mixture of carbon dioxide
and nitrogen is used regularly. Multicheck was developed to have
a permanent control of the gas composition in packaging machines.
It allows to control the left oxygen and / or carbon dioxide in
atmosphere inside of the packaging machine. The measuring values
can be marked in for filing the batch protocols or to be
represented on pc using a floppy disc. Thereby, a modern and
comfortable filing and documentation of the gas composition is
possible. The delivered software allows the user to research
data and thus to accomplish a subsequent quality control. Sensors:
On account of the modular construction of the 19"-industry-housing,
a flexible, costumer-oriented combination of the appointed
sensors is possible. The user has for example the choice between:
O2 zircon dioxrde sensor, O2
electro-chemical sensor, CO2 NDIR-sensor, vacuum
sensor, pressure sensor or temperature sensor. There are
several other sensors useable. There are also special
performances for OEM-users (i.e. packing machine manufacturers)
available.
Supplying gas: As
measuring gas pipe, a tube consisting of stainless steel
1/8", is transfered to the multicheck-analyser from the
packaging-machine. The integrated measuring gas pump is accessed
through the packing machine interface or operated manuel at the
analyser. By doing a continuous operation, the documentation of
data occurs also continuously. Therefore, further information
concerning the running time of the machines are available. If
packed food has to be controlled, the extra function "spot
measuring" is contained. Therefore, the packaging is
affixed by a separate test tube and a needle. The measuring
process is started manually. During the spot measuring, the gas
pump for online measurement is locked automatically.
